The Town Center Area Community Improvement District (TCACID) and Cobb County held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Noonday Creek Trail on Thursday, September 2, in celebration of the completion of Phase 2B of the project. Town Center Area CID board chair, Mason Zimmerman of Pope & Land, called it “one of our most significant projects for enhancing and improving the pedestrian environment in the district.”

It is a six-mile continuation of the mountain-to-river trail and when the entire trail is complete, it will wind north and north east, ultimately to Bells Ferry Road from Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. On behalf of Pope & Land, we are pleased to announce that the Barrett Development will be included in the trail’s path through North Cobb. “We’re most excited about enhancing the quality of life for Cobb residents who live and work up here,” said Mason Zimmerman.

The 10-foot-wide trail will provide access to pedestrians and bicyclists as well as a large amount of accessible greenspace. Upon its completion in 2012, the trail will be recognized as one of the top recreational venues in the state of Georgia.
