Pope & Land Responsibilities: At Pope & Land, Mr. Bara serves as an Officer of the company with a focus on all financial related activities, corporate governance & compliance, investor relations and overall operations of the company. Mr. Bara manages the Asset & Financial Services division with responsibility for corporate and property accounting, AP/AR and treasury. Mr. Bara also directly supports the Development & Investment Services’ team with deal sourcing, underwriting, financing, and deal structuring, along with supporting the Property Services and Leasing & Advisory Services team leaders.
Professional Experience: Prior to joining Pope & Land in 2019, Mr. Bara spent a decade in senior finance & data analytics roles at Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Bara was responsible for a range of activities including financial and data analytics, managing M&A integrations, process improvement and strategic planning for supply chain, logistics and procurement organizations.
Education: Mr. Bara received his B.S. in Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology and obtained a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Membership: Mr. Bara is a licensed GA Real Estate Salesperson. He is a member of the Council for Quality Growth – Emerging Leaders Initiative program.
Personal: Mr. Bara lives with his wife, son and daughter in Marietta, Georgia. He is an active tennis player and an Atlanta native. Mr. Bara and his wife are members of Cherokee Town & Country Club, along with Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church.
